Born in 1991. In 2010-2015, he studied at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. His graduation work was completed in Prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk’s studio and the graduation work annex in photography in Tomas Agat Błoński’s studio. His creative work connects various media, including painting, photography and video. He produces art objects and installations. He expressly references art history, temporality of a work and its uniqueness, at once problematizing the notion of a monument. The image and its proper medium, understood also as a carrier, are at the heart of his theoretical considerations. His latest pieces endow history with a visual nature which is conditioned by the image itself. Objects created by Filip are formally reminiscent of certain historical artefacts, sites of memory. The architectures of these artworks is left open. The viewer is transformed into both the material and the maker, a negotiator of meanings. The ‘uninscription’ becomes a provocation; the objects – a topos. The question of meaning – opens.
